Thursday 1 - 4
Drawing
Using charcoal, students will learn how to draw what they see from life. Working from still-life compositions, the students learn a simple method of measuring elements to achieve accurate proportions. By studying how light affects form, correct value relationships are seen and learned. These skills are invaluable to both drawing and painting, and we will start this training in basic drawing. Fundamentals of perspective will be introduced.

The same concepts we study in drawing are applicable to the study of painting. In this class, we add the additional element of color.
